This is a community site, open to anyone with useful ideas and contributions. It's a way to feed experience into the AMQP design process and provide the AMQP community with a way to get involved.
Specifications
| Raw | Draft | Stable | Legacy | Retired | Deleted |
8-Digest-AMQP - Raw
This document describes Digest-AMQP, a specification for exchanging Digest authentication data between a front-end requesting application and a back-end credentials service over an AMQP network. Note: this document needs to be updated to take into account changes in RestMS draft/2. (1231513574|%O ago) Comments: 0
5-BRF - Benchmark report format - Raw
This document describes a format for systematic reporting of benchmarks. The goal of this format is to make it possible for third parties to independently reproduce benchmarks. (1221158843|%O ago) Comments: 0
6-DMP - Direct Message Protocol - Draft
This document describes an AMQP extension protocol that improves the performance of message transfer in common high-volume scenarios. (1229424692|%O ago) Comments: 0
3-CML - Console Markup Language - Stable
This document describes a way of managing AMQP servers from a remote client application, using a transport mechanism built over AMQP, and an XML language used to exchange information between a management component built-in to the server, and a management application. (1220187015|%O ago) Comments: 0
1-COSS - Consensus Oriented Specification System - Stable
This document describes a consensus-oriented specification system (COSS) for building interoperable technical specifications. COSS is based on a lightweight editorial process that seeks to engage the widest possible range of interested parties and move rapidly to consensus through working code. 4-DMP - Direct Message Protocol - Legacy
This document describes an AMQP extension protocol that improves the performance of message transfer in common high-volume scenarios. (1220205305|%O ago) Comments: 0
7-RestMS - RESTful Messaging Service - Deleted
This document describes RestMS, a RESTful Messaging Service that exposes AMQP networks as a set of resources clearly identified by URIs and each supporting the appropriate HTTP methods. RestMS is designed to interoperate with AMQP/0.9.1 and future versions of AMQP. (1232464327|%O ago) Comments: 0
2-GEM - Generic Enterprise Messaging Framework - Deleted
This document describes the Generic Enterprise Messaging (GEM) framework for building messaging middleware stacks. GEM is a framework of protocols, an abstracted stack. It is designed to solve a broad range of problems encountered while building AMQP and related technologies. (1220183077|%O ago) Comments: 2

- Zyre, a new RestMS implementation - On 2008/12/25, iMatix released Zyre, a new implementation of RestMS. Zyre is a web service that proxies HTTP to AMQP, implementing the RestMS specification. Zyre includes its own fully configurable web server. Download from openamq.org.
- AMQP-0-9-1 XML - This is the final editorial draft 5 of AMQP0-91.xml. Please comment on this page, or by email to all participants of the 0-9-1 SIG.
- New IP policy - We're writing a new IP policy designed to be simpler and compatible with IETF and the AMQP Working Group. Get involved, if you have an opinion!
- RabbitMQ presentation - A presentation about AMQP and RabbitMQ, contributed by Alexis Richardson.
- Background to DMP - From www.openamq.org, a backgrounder to DMP and the OpenAMQ implementation of it ("Direct Mode"). Explains why iMatix designed DMP, and why it makes message transfer 5-6x faster.
